Squeeze Cast Cookware:
Molten aluminium is cast in 250 tonne forges to form perfectly shaped, high density and pore-free pans, a process originated by LOOK Cookware over 50 years ago. High accuracy steel moulds ensure that every piece has such close tolerances that the same process is now used in the aerospace industry. Perfectly flat, machine bases, guaranteed never to warp!
Rapid and Even Heat Distribution:
LOOK Cookware is designed and manufactured to give the best possible performance. LOOK Cookware is manufactured with heavy 8 mm thick bases and thin walls for perfect heat distribution and weight balance. Aluminium is one of the best conductors of heat enabling precise temperature control, 7 times more heat conductive than steel and iron cast cookware.
Cast iron pans are three times the weight of LOOK pans of the same size, and yet Look Cookware has outstandingly better heat distribution.
Versatility:
LOOK Cookware is designed for use on almost all hobs and cooking ranges, and in the oven, too! Naturally, being made of aluminium, LOOK Cookware is not suitable for use in the microwave ovens or on induction hobs. With this exception, LOOK Cookware will give equally excellent results on any heat source.
Recycling:
All aluminium used in the manufacture of LOOK Cookware is secondary aluminium - that is, it is recycled metal. Being recycled does not mean or imply any lowering of quality - scrap alloys (for instance, car engines, window frames, beverage cans) are graded and cleaned by the alloy supplier and are then melted and refined until the specified metallurgical composition is achieved. This process requires less than 10% of the energy needed to smelt and refine primary aluminium (i.e. from bauxite ore).
Look Cookware has an exceptionally long life, but when your pan finally needs to be retired, the aluminium can be recycled for further use.
