Packaging:
Look Cookware has been developing new styles of packaging using less material and making use of 100% recycled cards and papers.

Energy:
The majority of the energy used in the manufacture of LOOK Cookware is electrical energy, supplied from hydroelectric generating plant, and is thus renewable and non-polluting. The remaining energy is from hot water collected and piped from naturally occurring geothermal sources, renewable and totally non-polluting.

Solid waste:
No aluminium used in the manufacture of LOOK Cookware is discarded; scrap arising from the process is recycled - out-of-specification castings are melted and reprocessed; skims and slags from the furnaces are sent to specialist refiners, as are machinings and trimming.
Crucibles used in the cast-house is cast iron and therefore recyclable.
Alumina used in the gritblasting of castings is suitable for inert landfill.
PTFE solids - the small quantity of solid waste arising from the water wash filters in the coating plant is sent for disposal by competent waste handling companies.

Liquid Waste:
Small volumes of relatively clean water are discharged to the local authority sewers.

Atmospheric Discharges:
Waste air from ovens and other plant is discharged through cyclones and / or filters as appropriate.
